What’s
The Guild Conference?

Here it is in just six words…

What’s
The Guild
Conference?

SOUL CARE FOR THE CHRISTIAN CREATIVE.

SOUL CARE FOR THE CHRISTIAN CREATIVE.

SOUL

You don’t have to be impressive to be here. We care about who you are more than what you can do. Come and experience what it’s like to have your creativity engaged at a deep heart level.

CARE

Every detail of The Guild has been intentionally designed to create an experience that will refresh you, nurture you, challenge you, inspire you, and connect you with creative community.

CHRISTIAN

The Guild was founded by artists whose lives and artistry have been redeemed by Jesus. This conference was created to help you remain faithful to your work and your walk with God. It is a place where you can be fully and creatively who God calls you to be in Christ Jesus.

CREATIVE

Creativity is not just for some people, we are all creatives made in the image of the ultimate Creator. Creativity is a way of seeing the world. It is how we participate in the work and beauty of God. It is the expectation of something beautiful coming out of darkness. At The Guild we want to help you grow in your understanding and expression of your own unique creativity.

The Guild Conference is leading, teaching, and partnering with creative people, for creative people.

We’re creating an experience that encourages intentional rest, resetting, and reflection in the presence of God in light of our call as creative people made for creative community.

  • Absolutely not. We believe healthy creative communities are made up of artists as well as people who love engaging with beauty. The Guild provides an opportunity for artists and non-artists alike to enjoy creative arts and to support faithful creative expression.

  • We know not everyone can make it in person to Raleigh NC on October 26. This year we are offering an option to purchase a ticket for a live stream of the conference. The live stream will be available to watch in real time and also recorded so you can watch later when you want.

  • Yes! We are looking for people who are eager to join our team and make this the best Guild Conference yet. You can click HERE for more information.

  • You should absolutely come! We will have plenty of opportunities for people to connect and build relationships. You might come not knowing anyone but we are confident you will find your people once you are here.

  • No, the evening concert is included as part of your conference registration.

  • More info coming soon but we recommend planning on getting into Raleigh on Friday afternoon for a FREE pre-conference event that evening. Stay tuned.

  • The conference runs from 10AM - 5PM on Saturday October 26. We will serve you lunch on site, and we will make sure to have plenty of coffee on hand. Dinner will be on your own during the break before the concert Saturday evening.

  • This year's conference will be at North Ridge Church in Raleigh, NC. We are excited to be in a larger space that will allow us more room to spread out, an opportunity for breakout sessions, a place to enjoy a meal together, and a natural area to explore. We want to push back on the lie that whispers that creatives need to leave ordinary churches to find full creative freedom and support. We believe there is space for meaningful creative expression within regular churches and the presence of creatives will ultimately transform that very culture.

Conference Director

The Guild Conference began with an unexpected friendship between two artists who share a deep love and concern for the souls of Christian creatives.

Singer, songwriter, and producer Jess Ray teamed up with Spoken Word Poet Sharlene Provilus to host the first Guild Conference in 2021. Cary Brege, a supporter of artists and local concert host, joined the leadership team in 2022. These women have leaned into their respective giftings to create an experience at The Guild Conference that supports creative people and encourages creative community. Make sure to introduce yourself when you see them!
